Right now I am in some rare air as I am seeing every angle. Today will be the big challenge that will be a telltale sign if I am for real or a pretender as on last Saturday's Big Slate I was 5-14-1 but since with limited schedule have gone 28-8. I will steal one from No Tax that if I don't win at least 70%, Kojak will have to rather buy a wig or get a hair transplant. Let's get started.

Texas +4.5 - Texas too big and physical up front just like Purdue and will win straight up as long as Ivey protects the ball (loss)

Seton Hall -9 - Pirates are not playing that bad while Ohio St. is and will be without Sylvester who is suspended for this game. Seton Hall doubles spread (win)

Indiana St. +12 - Butler is way overvalued here based on past couple of years teams while opposite can be said of Sycamores (Loss)

Western Michigan -3 - Simply put this WMU team is very underrated while Loyola is not a good team. (Win)

NC State +3.5 - Wolfpack is a better team than Gamecocks and will win straight up (Win)

LSU -14.5 - This one will be over by halftime as Southern Mississippi won't be able to hold off barrage in Baton Rouge (win)

Oklahoma St. -3.5 - Cowboys should be favored by 7-9 points. This line is off. (win)

North Carolina -3 - Though UNC on winter break and home court not as big of a factor, Tarheels looking for payback and Reverend Roy wants to make a BIG SPLASH in ACC debut at home (loss)

Northwestern +11 - Knowing both of these teams since they are local, this will be a hotly contested game and UIC should never be a double digit fav vs BIG 10 team. Flames will struggle with Wildcats backdoor cuts to the basket and half court style (loss)

Florida -11.5 - Gators looking for payback for Mountaineers victory in Morgantown last year and to bounce back and end two game skid (win)

Boise St -1 - Beavers and Boise St. should switch conferences this year as Broncos would have better chance at being successful in Pac 10 than Oregon St. (win)

SMU +2.5 - Ponies are smarting after being upset Thurs by Appalachian St., and will be looking and playing with a lot of pride in this one (win)

Louisville -18 - Nice tune up for Cardinals who are getting primed for big game with you know who (loss)

Northern Arizona -7.5 - Northern Arizona has too much offense on the perimeter for San Diego
(win)
Wichita St. -5 - Shockers looking to validate themselves on the National Mid Major Scene and this is that game to do it (win)

Indiana +6.5 - Hoosiers will be game here as Davis has them playing BIG against top competition and down to average. Number 1 goes down for the 4th week ? (loss)

Marshall +4 - Another great value game as wrong team is favored (loss)

Central Michigan +17- Won at Notre Dame but got blown out by Purdue in last game. I suspect with in state rival Michigan , they will be up in this one (Win)

SW Missouri St. -1.5 - Bears won at STL last year and will do it again at home in Springfield tomorrow comfortably (win)

Vanderbilt -22 - Way too much for Wofford (win)

As you can see I have listed 20 games, so must get 14 out of 20 to avoid wig or hair transplant. Keep your fingers crossed!

Why get the card out so early Kojak. It's 7:35 Saturday Morning here in lovely Naperville and your card is done. What about line movements? Will change anything up before tip?

Aloha Kojak, just was looking at playing Duke, but I viewed your post and saw that you have Texas as your play. I just wanted to know if you were awhere that Brandon Moutan for Texas , who is their leading scorer with 15.2 pts per game, may miss this game as he injured his ankle. They are saying that it is a strong possibility he will not play. If so, I was seeing this as a big anvantage for Duke. Are you still on Texas even without Moutan in the lineup. Thanks CC.

No Ellen, I live in Naperville now. Job transfer. I don't miss Texas that much. I'm originally from the Midwest and like the change of seasons.

Plus the football and basketball are better up here

Big Earn,

I get the card out early for 3 reasons. First, I have a system based on early numbers and I want to take advantage of it. As you can see the past couple of days how important getting in early was being on right side of some 1/2 pt and 1 point covers. Second, I want to give everybody a chance to see selections in hope they can build their own card. Third, I was travelling yesterday getting home at 3 in the morning and I would not have gotten up in time to post. Best of luck.

Co Captain,

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner but was catching up on some sleep from a long day of driving. Mouton was supposed to play even though it doesn't look like it would have mattered right now. Best of luck.

Kapusta,

Yes it is a big slate but my goal today was to prove that my lousy last Saturday was a fluke that I could still be solid picking large number of games. You will see my top plays listed in post above. Best of luck.

Kojak, if you dont mind me asking, how is it that you determine the amount to wager on each game. Or is all your games played for the same amount. Do you use some sort of unit or sliding scale ranking to determine what amount to play on each game. It seems from you success that any system will work, but I was just curious as it may provide me a better way to scale my plays. Thanks CC.

Co Captain,

I have a couple of ways I determine my wager. My base system is to bet all games for the same amount. Too many of us load up on one game and when it loses we could have gone say 3-1 and lost money. Second, on days like today, obviously I am not betting all 20 games straight up. I break the day into time slots, raising my wager to 2-3x the norm and will play the strongest game in that slot while parlaying the others. Third, on game of the year picks, I'll bet 10x or greater on these plays but I limit those plays to special occasions. Hope this helps.

No Tax,

I stole your ploy as I am trying to break up my lousy Saturday's and put the pressure on myself. Best of luck except with S. Carolina. J/k

go your message regarding the parly with murray st -5-. no doubt that you did get it at that line, as i know is was around 3 early. but i use the closing lines. the intent is for anyone to look at the posts and pick one of the rx cappers pick, either good or bad and any time up to tip off and generate a win. people that do their home work and bet early get the benefit of winning $$, but we all know that lines do move. if you look at the first post of this thread, i said that i would be using the closing lines at either the suncoast casino here in vegas where i spend most of my time or www.wsex.com. btw i did bet murray state at -5- and did lose.

So far today 1-2 with being on the end of a couple of blowouts with Texas and Indiana but win first of top plays on day with Seton Hall. Hopefully those first two don't forecast Disaster Saturday Part 2.
